Nintendo DSi Rom Backup Tool Review

Frequently Asked Questions

Here is a collection of some great questions from Nille and my answers to them. If you are new to DSi Flash Cards this should be interesting. If YOU have some Questions ask them here in Comments!

DSi Flash Adapter

DSi Flash Adapter

Q: if i by this card would i be able 2 get adobe flash player + can i go on uTube + can i go on aim
A > No – Nintendo NDS / DSi does not have enough processing power to run Adobe Flash so no YouToube for us.

Q: how much is it and where can i find it
A > Take a look at this store for details.

Q: is it only in JAP
A > No – DSi Flash Cards work on all USA, Japanese, European and UK consoles

Q: how do you know it really works
A > Because we are playing our roms (free DS Game Backups) with these cards

Q: u never said if it could go on aim
A: Yes – with a DSi Flash Card you can chat on AIM and ICQ using DSAIM software rom – download here http://www.ds-xtra.com/DSAIM

Q: so can it and is there anything i can get besides this to go on it
A: You have to have one of the DSi compatible flash cards – which one is up to you. No way to get FREE roms an and software on DSi without a DSi flash card adapter

Q: can i get processing power on this
A: not exactly sure what you mean by that. R4i or AK2i adds MEMORY – not processing power. It is not a CPU upgrade.

Q: what are roms and when you say cards do you actually meen cards
A: ROMs in general are DS Games or Programs. DSi roms can be backups of Nintendo games sold in stores or games and software made bby 3rd party programmers. With DS Flash Cards you can also play Games / Roms from other consoles like NES, Gameby, GBC, Sega, ZX Spectrum, Atari, SNES etc.
And when I say CARD I mean DS / DSi Flash Cartridge (with internal flash memory) OR DSi Flash Card Adapter (in the form of a DS Game Cartridge) that requires you to insert a microSD card inot the DS cartridge for it ot work. http://www.gameboy-advance.net/ds-lite/flash-cards.htm

Q: if i get this where do i put it in the dsi
A: You would put it in the DSi Game Card slot where you put DSi games. On NDS / DS Lite it is called SLOT-1. The flash card / memory adapter is the exact same shape and size as a DS GAME CARD so usually it is not too hard to figure out where to put it

I want to get a DSi Rom of mario rpg, but im new to this whole ‘romming’ business. Can you tell me the steps for downloading a rom, as well as all the necessary equipment i need to get to play Roms?

Download from NDS-roms.com
Get a DS R4i SDHC card adapter to play the rom on the DS or DSi.
(You will also need to copy the NDS rom file to the SD card)

Hi, I’m trying to buy DSi, and I wanted to know some things…
Is the flashcard the only thing I have to buy to play Roms? Or do I need additional adapters or something?

Alright so check this out first i’d like to say great informateive site man. came up first in a googlesearch for “dsi flash cart” and helped me find what iw as looking for imidiately. that was what i wanted to say but from seeing these comments i guess i’d liket o answer a few questisons to. first and foremost:

running things like the first posted asked: super mario RPG on DS/DSlite/DSi
if you have a flashcard like i have the M3DS Real for the DS/DSlite then just go find a SNES emulator frtom like zophars domain and run the original SNES Mario RPG rom on it. unlesstheres some kind of DS game of mario rpg i dont know about then just go download that.

other questisons like what card should i get:
well i LOVE my M3DS Real for my DSLite but i cant use it anymore wiht my new DSi but i trust M3 now and plan on geting a M3i Zero Sakura for my new DSi. so relaly i’d reccomend that, remember that you need to check to see if the bundle you are buying comes with a MicroSD/SDHC card or card reader/writer before buying, you will need these things.

one mor thing i’d like to suggest posting on this website is links to imformational websites on getting the System up and running on the MicroSD card for various flashcards. i had to hunt around for a wile to find software for my M3DS Real becaue they stopped includeing a CD with it.

Hi,
Sorry to do this in comments, but do are you looking for any advertising opportunities? I manage an affiliate program that I think you could earn some commissions with.

Just email me if you’re interested in the details.

Thanks for your time!

hi! can someone please help me, I bought DSI version 1.3e, it has r4i sdhc (woodr4) gig mem, my main problem with my unit is that when you are in game mode and decided to close the lid to let it pause the game and turn into sleep mode, the i noticed that the screen turned into white background w/ blinking of lights along w/ sound blinking, but when i close the lid on ds menu and r4 menu, it works fine on sleep mode, can you guys please help me on this matter, is it the unit itself? or the firmware is not compatible with the r4? thanks!
